As a Client Consultant, you will manage a portfolio of both new and existing clients, focusing on a 1–3-month sales cycle and project values ranging from $1k to $500k. You’ll thrive in this role if you have a background in construction or a related field, are comfortable with longer sales cycles, and can demonstrate success in high-pressure environments while balancing both new business development and client relationship management.
What You’ll Do:
- Hunt and farm: Actively seek out new business opportunities while nurturing 20+ current customers to maintain and grow long-term partnerships.
- Manage full sales cycle: From initial lead generation to closing, managing sales cycles of 1 to 3months, primarily in the automatic doors industry.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and marketing to create compelling proposals and ensure project success.
- Develop bids: Sell services through estimating and bidding on new construction, remodels, retrofits, and modifications.
- Industry networking: Establish relationships with architectural, mechanical, and electrical engineering firms to stay informed on industry trends and opportunities.
- High-value project management: Handle projects in the $10k - $500k range, ensuring a smooth handoff to project management teams.

- Background in construction or technical sales: Experience in automatic doors or general construction is preferred, but we are open to those with related backgrounds.
- Relationship builder: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, such as CIO, Operations Director, Maintenance Director.
- Entrepreneurial spirit: You possess an entrepreneurial drive and initiative, willing to navigate the challenges of a longer sales cycle and manage complex projects.
- Technical acumen: Comfortable with software like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to create and present compelling business proposals.
What You Bring:
- Proven sales track record: Experience managing a sales pipeline of 1-3 months and successfully closing large deals.
- Construction knowledge (preferred): Knowledge of the construction or automatic door industry is highly desirable, as it will allow you to build relationships faster.
- Education: Associate’s degree or higher preferred. Relevant sales experience may substitute for formal education.
- Experience in estimating: Ability to develop and present competitive bids.
- Driver's License required: Must be willing to travel locally to meet clients and manage sales territory.
- Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally with clients and partners.
- Drive to succeed: Willingness to fail and learn from mistakes while maintaining a strong focus on financial success.
